Structure.pdf Job Summary: Reporting to the Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director, the Senior Associate Athletic Director for Strategic Communications coordinates all public relations and communication for the intercollegiate athletics department. The incumbent manages areas involving the integration and engagement of student-athletes, staff, and coaches in the programs and activities of the University and developing a climate of trust, honesty, integrity, and open communications while advocating for and committing to all aspects of diversity and inclusion - a climate where all constituents feel values, and differences are celebrated. The incumbent engages student-athletes, staff, and coaches in the University's programs and activities and oversees the development of a climate of trust, honesty, integrity, and open communications while advocating for and committing to all aspects of diversity and inclusion. In this climate, all constituents feel values and differences are celebrated. This position will oversee multiple staff members, graduate externs, and student workers. The position consults and works with the University's Strategic Communications department. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Required
Education & Experience
A bachelor's degree in journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. A minimum of (6) six years of experience. Possess a valid driver's license and good driving record. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Preferred: Master's degree in journalism, Communications, Public Relations, or related field. Seven (7) or more years of experience. Supervisory oversight experience. NCAA Division I experience.
