Cleveland-Cliffs Tubular Components has an immediate opportunity for an Environmental, Health and Safety Representative at our Walbridge, OH location. The EH&S Representative is responsible for promoting all aspects of the safety program through training, observations, inspections, and audits. The ideal candidate will have manufacturing experience with a focus on safety.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Provide technical advice, coaching, guidance and mentoring to the management team on environmental and safety initiatives, local and national safety regulations and best practices identified within this industry.
Assists shift managers, or conduct, and review all incidents, near-misses, and injury investigations to determine the root cause and corrective actions.
Conducts or coordinates classroom and individual training sessions for all levels of the EHS program for personnel and contractors.
Obtain and maintain Mobile Equipment and Crane train-the-trainer certifications. Train personnel as needed.
Investigates, reviews, and responds to employee safety related issues.
Performs EHS audits and inspects facilities, machinery, and safety equipment to identify and correct potential hazards, and to ensure EHS compliance.
Maintains working knowledge of the facility operation.
Maintain adequate inventories of PPE, first-aid, and other safety supplies.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Prefer 3 years of experience in manufacturing.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including overtime, different shifts, and weekends as needed.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Effective communications
Proven leadership skills and ability to promote teamwork.
