The Global Deal Strategy and Programs (GDSP) organization is responsible for the AWS Private Pricing Program, designed to offer AWS Customers access to commercial benefits in exchange for multi-year spend commitments. The GDSP Deal Approvals team drives approval policy and process to ensure that all Private Pricing deals adhere to AWS policy and meet the highest standards for customers and internal stakeholders.
Reporting to the Deal Approvals Global Leader, the Sr. Manager of Global Strategic Planning and Business Transformation will be the thought leader responsible for owning deal approval strategy and transformation initiatives to increase the velocity of the deal flow, while reducing risk, and maintaining the highest standards for private pricing deals.
The successful candidate will be able to generate insights from disparate process and stakeholder inputs to set a vision, design strategy, and to achieve consensus on goals and priorities. They will develop and write narratives to gain alignment on transformational initiatives, communicate with senior leadership on transformation status, and drive change management efforts. Candidate must be willing to roll up their sleeves and build with us.
Key job responsibilities
Develop strategy and transformational roadmap for the Private Pricing Program and S&TP Approvals (Deal Approvals) for AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services.
Generate insights into Deal Approval policies (the rules that govern approvals) and processes to identify opportunities to create, streamline, or eliminate policies and processes to improve approval velocity or reduce approval workloads.
Leverage your organizational experience, advanced business judgement, and understanding of the impact on stakeholders to drive alignment on the Deal Approvals strategy and roadmap.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to execute against the transformational roadmap supporting policy, process, tooling, and enablement efforts in support of the Deal Approval strategy.
Develop data and insight strategy to support Deal Approval performance reporting, operational reporting, and strategic analysis.
Ensure the Approvals Team upholds Amazon policies, Private Pricing mental models, established approval guidelines, and best practices.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of experience driving strategic programs and influencing policy in a large and complex organization
- 10+ years of business operations experience (may include finance, legal, contracts, approvals, or other comparable experience), leading end-to-end transformational initiatives
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience supporting a worldwide analytics or operations team
- Experience supporting a global deal approvals team

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
