Network Planner IV Onsite
Summary:
Responsible for the sourcing, selection, delivery, and maintenance of Ethernet over optical networks from telecom carriers. This role involves extensive collaboration with carriers to ensure optimal path routing and redundancy, as well as managing Wavelength or Ethernet services such as EPL.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with telecommunications carriers to find and secure lit fiber services (Ethernet) that meet specific routing and redundancy requirements.
Analyze carrier-provided KMZ files to understand routing paths and ensure they meet the organization's redundancy and diversity needs. Recommend changes to improve network reliability.
Design and implement Ethernet over optical networks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. Create detailed network diagrams and documentation.
Provide technical support and expertise to resolve carrier-related issues. Answer technical questions from carriers about Ethernet services and ensure seamless integration.
Manage Ethernet services, including Ethernet Private Line (EPL) and other carrier Ethernet services. Ensure proper configuration and performance of these services.
Oversee the delivery of circuits from carriers, from initial order through to installation and testing. Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery.
Organize testing of Ethernet handoffs, including performance and reliability testing. Validate that all services meet specified requirements and standards.

Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in data processing or related field required.
Experience with wavelength services (Ethernet) or EPL / Carrier Ethernet.
Pay range is $101 - $106 per hour with full benefits available, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision/life insurance, 401K, parental leave, and more. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
