Defense Strategic Communications and Technical Writing Expert
Key Role:
Support a range of communications from strategic communications planning to execution, including developing messaging campaigns and associated collateral, planning and facilitation of technical workshops, conferences, and other events, supporting technical report writing and editing, and leading other client communications initiatives, including large-scale outreach campaigns to engage technical stakeholders and drive alignment with client missions. Draft and edit a variety of communications materials and products, including talking points, leadership communications, marketing copy, briefing materials, and web site content. Work independently while contributing to the team in a collaborative, creative environment.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with technical writing and editing, including reports and white papers
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
Experience with communications for DoD Science, Technology, Research, or Development Programs
Ability to work with senior leaders, respond to changing priorities, and adapt writing styles to meet the needs of audiences at various levels
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience providing communications to Senior DoD officials and leaders
Experience with graphics design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and Publisher
Experience with legislative and policy analysis or Defense budget cycles
Experience with Marketing and Awareness campaigns for Defense clients
Experience in the areas of Microelectronics, Anti-Tamper, DoD Program Executive Offices, Modernization Campaigns, or other relevant portfolios
Master's degree

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $54,000.00 to $123,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
