Job Title: Payroll Administrator I Duration: 3 Months Contract + Possibility of Extension/FTE Location: Woodland Hills, CA 91367 Pay Rate: $28.00 - $30.66 hourly JOB SUMMARY: In office 2 days a week. Office hours are 9 am - 6 pm Duties: Compile, track, and enter payroll data into the payroll system such as: hours worked, vacation, personal and holiday hours, taxes, and union dues to be withheld Follow established procedures to accurately process weekly, bi-weekly and semi-monthly payroll Review wage calculations, audit timekeeping records and correct any errors to ensure accuracy of payroll Audit new hires, terminations, retro transactions, wage garnishments and tax setup for accuracy Validate data concerning pay rate changes, address changes and direct deposit Handle sensitive data with discretion to protect employee's confidential information Prepare and issue any manual checks as necessary Process, review, and audit automated standard reports to verify accuracy and correct any out of balance transactions as necessary Facilitate audit requests, prepare special reports and/or work on special projects as assigned by management Support, collaborate and provide guidance to team members on issues and questions concerning payroll related topics Resolve payroll questions and time tracking inquires via portal ServiceNow Skills: Experience with Workday Payroll and Time Tracking or similar systems experience preferred Fundamental Payroll Professional (FPP) designation preferred Ability to multi-task effectively without compromising the quality of the work Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers, staff, regulatory agencies, vendors, and other members of the business community Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel Significant knowledge of payroll systems, FLSA, Federal and State laws, knowledge, and administration of sound techniques in all aspects of payroll Keywords: Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, 0 - 3 years Minimum Degree Required: Associate's Degree (Community College, MBO) Certifications & Licenses: Proficiency with MS Word and Excel Dexian is a leading provider of staffing, IT, and workforce solutions with over 12,000 employees and 70 locations worldwide
