Position: Sr. Electronics Manufacturing Engineer
Location: 6550 Katella Ave, Cypress, CA, 90630
Responsibilities include:
iRhythm Technologies Inc. is seeking a Sr. Electronics Manufacturing Engineer (Cypress, CA) to assist with qualification, preventive and corrective maintenance of manufacturing equipment, test fixtures, and new test equipment at iOC. Work closely with the Product Development and Quality Assurance teams in testing strategies, manufacturing flow, and failure analysis. Support the analysis of failed product on the manufacturing line. Provide support to the Product Development team for investigations and corrections. Lead investigations related to test fixture failures as well as test fixture support. Work with the Engineer team at iOC Manufacturing to support manufacturing PCBA testing stations for all iRhythm products. Lead the design verification testing for electrical devices and test fixtures while collaborating with product development team. Perform basic IQC functions (visual inspection) and maintain inventory of spare parts for test fixtures. Operate automated testers with pre-programmed testing routines for functional PCBA verification. Train electrical test technicians to operate automated testers with pre-programmed testing routines for functional PCBA verification. Execute solutions to routine technical problems defined by Engineering team. Support MFG on multiple projects based on day-to-day demand. Perform the qualification process (IQ,OQ,TMV,PQ) and firmware development based on industry standard test procedures. Run established management software tools to track and trend production data. Perform data analysis, data extraction, statistical analysis using general purpose programming language. Design and manage the build of electro-mechanical functional test equipment. Support maintenance and improvements of functional test equipment. Support maintenance and improvements of functional test equipment. Perform failure analysis of electronic circuits and components on test equipment and devices. Provide technical expertise to Quality Assurance for problem device analysis, and to Product Development for new product design and sustaining engineering efforts. Write test/validation protocols and test reports, including detailed technical analysis and recommendations. 5% travel domestic and 10% travel international required.
SALARY: $80,912 to $113,503 per year
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of experience in an electronics manufacturing environment. Must have experience in the following: Using test equipment such as frequency generator, oscilloscope, frequency counter, signal analyzer, spectrum analyzer, DMM, power supply and data acquisition unit, on daily basis work; Reading and properly interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schematics and wiring diagrams; Performing FAT and SAT, IQ, OQ, TMV (GR&R), PQ; Collecting and analyzing statistical data using Cp, Cpk and GR&R; Operating electromechanical measurement/test equipment and prototype tool/fixtures; Authoring and managing technical writing, such as specifications, design documentation, technical protocols and reports; Monitoring current product / processes with KPI (Key Performance Indicators); Performing PCBA testing, debugging, failure analysis, documentation, and sustaining engineering; Working with cross functioning teams to develop or prototype tools / fixtures and
operating electromechanical measurement test equipment; Providing in depth Design For Manufacturing (DFM), Design for testing (DFT) and design for Automation (DFA) feedback to Product Development team; Using Altium or equivalent ECAD tool; Bluetooth/BLE, and RF (Radio Frequency) test methods and its challenges; and Writing and debugging test software in
Visual Basic/ Python / Test Stand / LabVIEW / C++./ C#. 5% travel domestic and 10% travel international required.
