Description:
This is a technical leadership role providing vision, technical guidance and managing a small team of micro architects for developing the SoCs for Automotive SerDes. Job will entail:
1. developing understanding of the requirements for a product capable of supporting Standards such as ASA motion Link (ASA-ML)
2. developing SoC architectural specifications
3. developing FPGA prototype architectural specifications – the prototype platform will be used to validate and evaluate end to end performance
4. supervising and having overall responsibility of the development of micro architecture (including development of the golden C models) of all the digital blocks,
5. closely collaborating with the PHY Architect as well as interacting as appropriate with teams working on RTL, Comm. Systems, FPGA and Analog Front End (AFE) to make sure that the implementation of the various digital blocks, the interface blocks and the digital interface to the AFE including any digital control needed for the AFE are done correctly,
6. making the appropriate choice of the embedded processor (along with configurations and memory requirements) for implementing the modem state machine(s), message passing, control functions etc., and,
7. collaborating with the Comm. Systems team and the Firmware team as appropriate to make sure these functions (mentioned in (6) above) will be implementable on this processor. Candidate should have experience with defining an overall SoC architecture and the specifications as well as supervision of micro architecture development. Exposure to system test plan, analyzing lab. measurements, chip bring-up, systems bring up are pluses. Experience with architecting complex SoCs with an embedded processor is required.
