What you will do:
The Senior Staff Engineer will be a key member of the Advanced Technical Group engineering team. This engineer will be responsible for working closely with design engineers, mechanical engineers, suppliers, and OEM/CMs in the execution of process verifications and validation on the implementation of new products. Similarly, this engineer will be responsible for implementing Design for Testing during new product implementation (NPI).
Additional Responsibilities:
Design and implement electromechanical test processes for current and new products on-site and overseas
Executes thorough testing to eliminate or control the quality of the product.
Performs complex troubleshooting with the on-site production team or remote troubleshooting of In Circuit Test/FT with Original Equipment Manufacturing/Contract Manufacturing teams.
Documents tests with appropriate drawings for engineers to review
Works closely with design engineers to quickly identify test issues that may result in design changes.
Supports current and legacy test equipment
Create schematics for test equipment and recommend relevant test equipment Manufacturing.
What you need:
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering required
Minimum of 6+ years of relevant engineering experience required
Solid knowledge of ICT and FCT PCBA test strategies required
Solid knowledge of LabVIEW and Test Stand required
Understand P/D FMEAs, Control Plans, and PPAP required
Understand Equipment Qualification (IQ, PQ, OQ) required
Solid Knowledge of Gauge R&R, and Statistical Process Control (i.e. Cpk, Ppk) required
Experience in medical electronics manufacturing - preferred
Experience in medical or automotive new product introduction- preferred.
Knowledgeable on IPC standards- preferred.
Strong background in optical imaging and optical system design- preferred
Hands-on experience aligning optical systems - preferred
A basic understanding of Fanuc and UR robot systems - preferred
$98,000 - $210,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
Travel Percentage: 20%
