Job Summary |
Manages Athletics Department (aka Athletics) facilities, events, and equipment operations. Works on areas of finance and contracts within Athletics. Serves as a member of Athletics leadership team and provides strategic direction regarding the department’s financial health. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned. |
Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business administration, accounting, sport management, athletic administration or related field.
- Four (4) years of experience in collegiate professional, high school athletics or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Master’s degree in business administration, accounting, or sport management, athletic administration.
- Experience leading budgeting operations within an NCAA Division I athletics department including filing of NCAA and EADA annual budget reports.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) |
- Ability to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, and CSU rules and regulations.
- Skilled in operating athletic facilities and budget office management, including NCAA and EADA reporting.
- Ability to prioritize program needs based on department policies for budgeting, and facility scheduling.
- Ability to foster and maintain relationships in the department, within CSU and other NCAA institutions.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
- Ability to effectively engage with team members when issues arise to ensure appropriate communication and develop effective resolution plans.
- Ability to motivate, coach and develop others.
- Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines and tackle emergencies and difficult situations.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing large amounts of data, maintain detailed comprehensive records, analyze, and organize information, and have effective time management skills.
- Ability to organize and maintain financial reports, budget management and reconciliation.
- Supports a diverse community through workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, problem solving, hiring, retention, facilitation, and decision-making skills and competencies.
- Ability to be flexible regarding daily work schedule, including the ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint.
