Job Summary:
Loaders work in the warehouse, prepping outgoing shipments and receiving incoming/outgoing goods by loading and unloading trucks, moving material, and shipping containers within or near the worksite. A Forklift Operator who is responsible for moving goods around warehouse sites. Using a forklift to unload deliveries from trucks and stack boxes for storage purposes throughout a warehouse and other manufacturing property.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Other duties may be assigned)
- Ability to read work orders or follow oral instructions to ascertain material or containers to be moved. Including open containers.
- Ability to load and unload materials with hand dollies, pallet jacks, forklifts, and/or by hand.
- Loads materials into trailers and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Conveys materials from storage or work sites to designated areas.
- Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination.
- Ability to attach proper ID tags/labels to materials and/or mark information on cases, bales or other containers.
- Loads trucks for Industrial Truck Operator.
- Stacks, assembles, and bands bundles together.
- Operates forklift to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
Key Competencies:
- One of three years of experience required related experience and/or training in
operating multi-forklift types.
- Valid fork-lifting certificate in accordance with 29 CFR 1910.178, to operate Lift Equipment.
- Lift Equipment (up to 100 lbs.) - Any electric, propane, diesel, or gasoline-powered equipment used for material handling purposes, including forklifts, reach trucks, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, etc.

Education:
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent experience.
- One of three months of related experience and/or training. Or the equivalent of education and experience. One of three years of experience is required.

- Required to handle lifting/moving of various objects weighing up to 50 lbs. up to 12 hours per day.
- While operating company equipment. Is frequently required to push, pull, lift, and carry up to 50 lbs. with assistance; required to maintain body balance while ascending or descending the forklift, and to maintain body equilibrium while bending at the waist or at the knees. Ascending and/or descending from the forklift throughout the shift up to 10 hours per day.
- While performing the job’s essential functions, the employee will be required to occasionally talk, hear, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, balance, crouch, and crawl and climb stairs and ramps up to 10 hours per day.
- Required to stand for extended periods of time up to 12 hours per day.
- Required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with arms; and climb and/or balance, up to 50% of the day in a 12-hour workday.
- Required to have close, distant, and peripheral vision for up to 12 hours per day. Along with depth perception.

- Manufacturing Environment – safety gear such as boots, glasses, and earplugs will be required and provided.
- Exposure to disagreeable elements is limited.
- Able to work extended hours, night shifts, and on weekends when required.
- Ability to move about in office, warehouse, and manufacturing facilities.
- Requires frequent travel between local (within 50 miles) facilities.
- Typically works in an office environment and uses a computer, telephone, and other office equipment as needed to perform duties.
- The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office and may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday.
Safety:
The incumbent must be able to perform this job safely without endangering the health or safety of self or others.

Salary Range : $17.50 - $20.00
