Overview:
Our client is a private, independent laboratory comprised of four nationally recognized laboratories located in New York, Illinois, and Northern California. Each of these laboratories has developed its own area of expertise and is an acknowledged leader in the field of food analysis with a wide array of clients from mom and pop startups to national, well known food companies to the FDA.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze test samples utilizing ICP-MS and ICP-OES instrumentation.
- Perform daily maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of instruments included in Daily Operations
- May assist in overseeing work conducted by Lab technician or assistants.
- May assist in troubleshooting out of specification test results.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Essential Knowledge:
- Must have a BS in chemistry or equivalent.
- Experience performing analytical or chemical testing on pharmaceutical, cosmetic, nutritional, raw materials, water samples, bulk samples and finished products.
- Knowledge of current USP, CTFA/PCPC, AOAC, CPSC, EPA, ASTM, and other industry standard methods and procedures.
- Must be familiar with ICP-MS and ICP-OES instrumentation and other chemical equipment, techniques and programs required for pharmaceutical, nutritional and cosmetic product assays/tests.
Essential Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience working with ICP instrumentation. 3+ years of experience is preferred.
- Computer literate. Be able to work with Microsoft programs such as word and excel, ability to utilize search engines, and create spreadsheets, etc.

- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to adapt to changes to improve company process.
Managerial Responsibility:
- May assist in overseeing work conducted by Lab technician or assistants.
