Requirements / Qualifications
Baldwin Park Unified School District is seeking a highly qualified Speech-Language Pathologist for Special Education Preschool Speech Clinic at Tracy Elementary School beginning the
2024-2025 School Year.
REQUIREMENTS
• Valid California authorization for service as a Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech Specialist:
o Speech-Language Pathologist Service Credential OR
o Clinical Rehabilitative Service Credential OR
o California Speech-Language Pathology License (including the CBEST) OR
o Eligible for an SLP Waiver
• Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology or a closely related field
PREFERENCES
• Bilingual (Spanish)
• Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology
IF any of the following documents are missing, you will be screened out and will not be considered for an interview
• Complete online application
• Letter of Intent
• Résumé
• Copy of CBEST (Except Internal Candidates) (in lieu of the CBEST, with passing scores, we accept SATs, ACT, or CSET)
• Copies of college transcripts (Except Internal Candidates)
• Two recent letters of professional references within two years (must have signatures), except internal candidates
SLPs with the following documents will get an additional percentage added to the current PK-12 Salary Schedule. Proof of documentation is required. Please see below:
5% increase for SLP's with a Preliminary CA Credential OR proof of a "Required Professional Experience" (RPE) temporary license
8 % increase for SLP's with a Clear CA Credential OR proof of a full current license and ASHA Card
10% increase for SLP's with a clear CA Credential OR proof of a full and current License AND a current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Failer to maintain the CCC and ASHA will result in a return to the 8% level
SLP's hired on a waiver will receive the base salary
