Shift: Monday – Friday, evenings and weekends may be required Job Duties and Responsibilities Maintains updated training records for all US-based employees including Site Technicians Books external training courses for all US based employees Codes, checks and approves for payment all US training related invoices Maintains updated nomination, assessment and evaluation documents for all UK training activity and ensures these are processed in a timely fashion in line with Company procedure Files and records all training related documents Takes responsibility for arranging and organizing all major, ad hoc training events Participates in ad hoc training related projects – training needs analysis, competency matrices etc. Ensures any refresher training for US employees is identified and addressed in a timely manner – e.g., FLT. First Aid, technician certifications Carries out product training for Hydratight employees as required Works with managers and employees to identify training needs and takes appropriate action to address these needs Collates and prepares information for annual training budget and plan Works with non-US Hydratight locations ensuring compliance with training audit requirements and offers advice and assistance as required Reports monthly to Global HR Leader on training expenditure and documents requiring signature Contributes training related material to quarterly employee newsletter Presents ideas for improvement and continually seeks to improve current ways of working Communicates regularly with Global HR Leader and rest of HR team Ensures that equality of opportunity (with respect to training and development) is available to all existing and prospective employees Promotes and supports the Company’s LEAD program at all levels in the business Ensures own and others’ compliance with all Company standards, policies and procedures Skills and Competencies Computer skills include knowledge of Microsoft Windows software suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.) and company business ERP system. Ability to speak effectively before groups, customers, or employees of organization. Calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Resolve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Must be able to manage workshop personnel and accurately account for all equipment. Must have great organizational skills. Education and Experience High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) 2+ years’ experience with in training role Certification in the areas of Assembly, Calibration-Conformance testing and Order Management is preferred Forklift certification is preferred Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass site specific background/drug tests. Physical Demands Employee may have to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds in weight. Employee may have to lift tools up to 100 pounds in weight. Employee will have to be able to walk/climb to a variety of primary work locations, including traveling by air/auto to remote sites. This can include occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and the like. Employee may move themselves in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Employee will need to move about to accomplish tasks or move from one worksite to another. Employee will need to operate machinery and/or power tools, motor vehicles, and heavy equipment.
