Duties will include: directing and coordinating all activities pertaining to a clinical practice through general or direct supervision of staff; responsible for patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, patient flow, and other reimbursement related activities; serving as the key liaison for new business ventures; keeping management and staff adequately informed of issues; serving as a liaison with managers of other departments and UPI Administrative staff; monitoring finances quarterly; implementing cost saving measures contributing to UPI financial targets; and other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 5 years' experience.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES
Knowledge of ongoing, hospital, practice management and health care trends,
Health care legislation and regulatory standards
Knowledge of organizational fiduciary, budgetary, and financial methods and practices.
Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource
Allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and coordination of people and
Resources is required to perform the essential functions described.
Knowledge of contracts.
Familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT coding; knowledge of GE/IDX or similar computerized billing system; strong customer service and organizational skills; and strong PC proficiency.
