JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Manager, School Contracts, the Support Nurse – School Contracts supports the National City School District's elementary school health service program in providing assessment, evaluation, maintenance & improvement of the health of students. The Support Nurse – School Contracts works collaboratively with district staff & families to identify & manage health related barriers to learning for students & to promote prevention of illness. The Support Nurse – School Contracts supports the educational process by working to ensure & promote the wellness of students by early detection & correction of health problems.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Associate's Degree
3 Years of Experience
BLS for Health Providers (AHA)
CA Licensed Vocational Nurse
Proficient computer skills
Effective communication skills
Experience in elementary school environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree
5 Years of Experience
California RN License
Certification as a School Audiometrist
Bilingual - Spanish
The expected hiring range for this position is $37.63 to $51.75
