The Regional Portfolio Management Office (RPMO) serves the president and senior leadership team of Kaiser Foundation Hospitals and Health Plan for Northern California. A successful Manager in the RPMO is a dynamic and innovative individual capable of successfully supporting senior leadership and their teams in translating, organizing, and executing their strategy. This includes acting as a strategic advisor and thought partner to executives; identifying strategic opportunities for improvement within portfolios; prioritizing, organizing, and planning key initiatives; building key infrastructure to enable success in the portfolio; and at times program managing large, complex strategic initiatives. Agility, collaboration, and big picture strategic thinking are essential skills for success. Additionally, you’ll be required to leverage influence and ensure enterprise-wide alignment of strategy, goals, and initiatives. By combining relationship management, consulting, program/project management, process improvement, and analytic skills, our Portfolio Managers tackle a broad array of opportunities within portfolios such as Consumer Experience, Hospital Operations, Quality, Finance, Clinical Services, and more. In addition to the responsibilities listed below, this manager level position is also responsible for managing strategic, enterprise-wide, cross-regional, and/or multi-disciplinary programs to drive exceptional business value for KP; managing evolving strategic priorities and providing strategic planning within and across programs to drive and ensure alignment and performance across the organization. This includes monitoring the progress of initiatives across the program and proactively identifying risks and opportunities of strategic business value; raising visibility on critical issues to ensure effective resolution; and identifying, gathering and evaluating data and key performance drivers to understand strategy performance and any gaps. This position is also responsible for providing design plans and supporting the development and execution of change management strategies during key program or organizational changes and transitions; working in a variety of dynamic situations requiring exceptional consulting, internal influence, conflict management, and resource/team management; proactively conducting external research to identify and implement market leading practices; embracing a can-do strategic approach with sound business acumen; and advising and partnering with senior leaders while operating within a fast-paced environment.
