ManTech is currently seeking a Front Desk Receptionist that will support our offices in Herndon, VA. As the Receptionist, you will play a key role in a wide range of duties and most importantly present the first impression of the organization not only internally but to external visitors, Executives and customers. The primary responsibilities include the day to day support of the reception desk and office administration. In addition, the Receptionist provides cross-functional support to employees on site to include but not limited to Facilities, Human Resources, Business Operations and Security. All relative duties are highlighted below:
Responsibilities:
• Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or on the telephone; answering or referring inquiries.
• Directs visitors by maintaining employee and department directories; giving instructions.
• Maintains security by following procedures; monitoring logbook; issuing visitor badges.
• Maintains telecommunication system by following manufacturer's instructions for house phone and console operation.
• Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities
• Ensure proper badging and escorting of visitors, suppliers, etc.
• Maintain and update tracking sheets to include: visitor log, incoming and outgoing shipments
• Provide daily mail room services in an efficient manner (distribution/sorting of all incoming mail and shipments, stamping/labeling/addressing/collating all outgoing mail and shipments).
• Schedule conference rooms.
• Maintain inventory of, and reorder, office supplies, office equipment and other items.
• Act as the liaison for resolving and tracking facilities requests such workstation assignments, service calls for office equipment, refreshment vending, building management maintenance requests, issuing of keys, etc.
• Monitor building conditions daily (aesthetics and mechanics). Remedy or report all found issues during walkthroughs.
• Performs standard and some advanced secretarial duties.
• May work for one or more individuals in support of a department, project or contract.
• Receives and routes incoming correspondence, answers telephone, types correspondence, reports, forms, and records.
• May be required to take and transcribe dictation.
• May make travel arrangements and reservations. Schedules appointments for supervisor.
• May use word processing equipment and PC in performing assigned tasks.
•Performs other duties as assigned.

Coverage may be required at Corporate facility. Candidate must be comfortable traveling from main Site to Site 5 miles from Sunrise Valley for purposes of covering for the day and/or lunch if applicable. Supervisor will provide notification when coverage is required.

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc
