Case Management: Act as the primary point of contact and advocate for students with IEPs enrolled solely in online learning courses. Develop and implement individualized plans to meet students' academic and developmental needs.
Flexibility: Demonstrate flexibility in working with students across middle and high school grade levels. Adapt instructional strategies and interventions to meet the diverse needs of students.
Progress Monitoring: Monitor student progress regularly, using data-driven approaches to assess academic growth and address areas of concern. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to adjust interventions as needed.
Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and support staff to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting students with IEPs in an online learning environment. Schedule, facilitate and attend IEP meetings, contributing valuable insights to the development of students' educational plans.
Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices in special education, online learning, and instructional technology. Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills related to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
Other Duties as Assigned: Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned by district administrators, which may include participating in committees, supporting school-wide initiatives, or providing professional development to colleagues.
