Finance Manager needed for an international leasing start-up company located in Irvine CA.
Direct Hire opportunity. Pay range is $100k-150k/yr, depending on experience. Hours are 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting:
- Oversee and manage the entire accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Supervise Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes, including invoicing, payment matching, and daily updates to the AR register.
- Conduct monthly financial tasks such as bank reconciliations, insurance payments, rent payments, interest payments, loan payments, and ensuring sufficient funds in each bank account.
Business Analysis and Strategic Planning:
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the company’s financial and business operations, focusing on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Establish and maintain a robust business analysis system and management reporting framework.
- Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to support business decision-making.
Process Improvement and Efficiency:
- Lead initiatives to enhance financial processes and workflows, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Oversee relevant projects related to business finance alignment and system development.
Data Management and Integrity:
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of financial data by optimizing system data management processes.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records to facilitate effective decision-making and external reporting.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Prepare and present financial materials for external audits, investment partners, and key stakeholders.
- Foster strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support financial objectives and compliance.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
- Manage risk by implementing and monitoring internal controls and financial procedures.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and develop junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to support overall company objectives and strategies.
Requirements:
- MUST HAVE Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Master's is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Extensive experience in financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning.
- MUST HAVE IPO experience.
- MUST HAVE Operations experience.
- Professional certification such as CPA (US) is required.
- Proficiency in advanced office software, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exceptional self-motivation, proactive approach, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex financial problems and analyze data.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 Per Year
