Farmers Group (Woodland Hills, CA) seeks a Marketing Data Analyst to be responsible for developing business segment, function and process knowledge, an understanding of business- area data and advanced analytics to successfully implement solutions that improves profitable growth and provide collaborative support for planning, development, testing, implementation, and monitoring predictive or prescriptive analytics solutions to strategic business problems and drive home future innovation. Specific duties include: provide analytic and operational support for Marketing stakeholders; develop advanced analytical solutions to strategic business problems; provide key ownership areas that may include lead generation, performance marketing, customer segmentation; analyze data from A/B and multivariate tests of website data; utilize Google Analytics 4 to monitor traffic and design online experiments; present analysis results to executive leadership; execute against project plans or agile user stories on time and effectively communicates the status of analytical solutions to key stakeholders; support business objectives for acquisition, retention, cross-selling, profitability, and agency development by assisting in advanced analytic projects; analyze changes in new business generated by both marketing and non-marketing activity; research market and competitive intelligence to drive strategy at Farmers and identifies opportunities for innovation and advanced analytical solutions. Option to work remotely is available with occasional required travel to Woodland Hills, CA HQ (1-2 times/year).
Position requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field of study, plus 5 years of experience in the job offered, or similar position. Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a closely related field of study, plus 1 year of experience in the job offered, or similar position. Must have 1 year of experience with each of the following: using SQL to access data stored in mySQL Server or other relational database management system; using R for data analysis; using R to build predictive models applied in an insurance role; visualizing analysis results using ggplot2; training customer churn models; evaluating insurance risk and updating customer data using SAS; using Git or other similar version control software; and analyzing data in Excel.
