Workday Inc is looking for a Salesforce Solution Architect to join our Business Technology, Go-To-Markett Qualify team in Pleasanton. In this role, you will take on a key position in guiding the technical aspects of IT architecture, design, and implementation. You will have the chance to work closely with various teams and contribute to the creation of outstanding IT solutions that support our Marketing and Sales organizations.

Responsibilities:
- Provide technical leadership and establish the direction for IT architecture, standards, design, and implementation approaches.
- Design, assess, and implement plans and proposals for impactful IT solutions using advanced technologies and innovative methods such as: SnapLogic for Integrations, Conga/Apttus for CPQ, CLM, AWS as PaaS, Coveo Search Platform, OKTA for SSO, Reltio and many others.
- Lead or contribute to designs applied to all aspects of business systems and infrastructure prototypes.
- Engage in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, and business/technical analysis.
- Mentor and guide other team members, sharing your wide range of expertise in Salesforce development, architecture and strategies.
Collaborate with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products
Implement and deploy AppExchange products
Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff
Research and maintain current certifications on salesforce.com technologies and communicate trends and future needs from a business and technical perspective
Build business partner trust, respect and strong customer relationship
Document standard methodologies and implementation procedures
Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment
In this role, you will have the chance to work on a variety of projects and support the solution design phases, working closely with our Business and IT developers. You will be responsible for developing innovative solutions and frameworks to solve business challenges and opportunities. Additionally, you will maintain the overall Solution Architecture framework and direction to support Sales and Marketing. This role will also involve collaborating with partners on new product evaluations and recommendations.
What sets this opportunity apart is the chance to create and influence the development of a consolidated user experience with Salesforce Lightning. You will also have the opportunity to help determine the Workday GTM portfolio of tools in partnership with business leaders. Furthermore, you will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Legal, and Finance Go To Market teams.
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Over 8 years of hands-on experience in developing software solutions
Other Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Go-to-Market systems
- Proven experience in designing and implementing Go-To-Market software solutions
- Specific knowledge of Salesforce Sales and Service Cloud preferred
- Strong knowledge of Data management and Analytics
- Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Heroku and marketing technologies is a plus
- Business-minded and highly analytical while also having a strong and deep technical background in Salesforce.com
- Able and willing to work independently and in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, with minimal direction
- Interpersonal skills, as well as superb communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face)
- Take initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrate creative thinking
- Self-motivated and the able to grasp concepts quickly
- Demonstrate sharp, analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum specifically)
