Responsibilities AS America Inc., d/b/a American Standard Brands in Piscataway, New Jersey seeks Leader API Solutions Architect to implement API management using API management software (like Apigee, MuleSoft or others) to include API proxies, mashups, rate limiting, security, analytics, monetization, and developer portals. Provide technical vision and subject matter expertise for improvements such as expanding capacity and throughput, reducing complexity, reducing time and cost, and increasing performance and effectiveness of integration solutions. Develop Proof of Concepts to demonstrate feasibility and value. Design, implement, test, and deploy APIs using the latest technologies and best practices. Implement API strategy / road map initiatives while aligning the strategy to the business objectives for Internal and External Customers. Implementing security and identity protocols such as OpenID, TLS, OAuth, SAML, SSO, PKI (encryption and key management), REST/SOAP. Standardize the CI/CD setup for API management tools and automated deployment. Conduct technical audits of existing architectures (Infrastructure, Performance, Security, Scalability and more), document best practices and recommendations. Provide continuous improvement of integration processes and procedures based on industry standards and implementing best practices for all aspects of the API lifecycle. Guide API developers in delivering large and complex API solutions. Demonstrate with Standard version control software and build Tools such as GitHub/Bitbucket, Jenkins/ADO for API proxy deployment automation. Prepare with Agile software development processes and the development life cycle. Partner with technical teams, serving as their primary technical point of contact during integration. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. Must have 5 years of experience in job offered or related position. Must have 3 years of experience with the following: IT architect with a focus on enterprise integration platforms; 2 full lifecycle implementation of enterprise integration platforms with architectural responsibilities; API management / gateway software like Apigee, WSO2, Layer 7, MuleSoft or equivalent with the knowledge of API mashups, analytics, developer networks, monetization models and security. Must have experience with the following: AWS or Azure or Google Cloud development and deployment models and architecture with CI/CD exposure; Integration and API architecture; Industry trends, vendors, frameworks, and practices; All aspects of API and development lifecycle with focus on solution design and architectures review. Position permits remote work throughout the U.S.; and Position requires up to 5% domestic and international travel for team building activities.
