Position Overview: As a Maintenance Technician, you are responsible for the care, maintenance and repair of the facility, it’s systems, grounds and all of it’s associated equipment. You will consistently monitor critical systems and perform routine maintenance and repair on boilers, utility systems, environmental monitoring systems, cold rooms, freezers and HVAC systems. Your overall contributions will directly impact our working environment by helping to eliminate production down time and ensure the reliability and good state of repair for all facility systems and production equipment. Here’s more of what you’ll get to do: Set-up bakery machinery and equipment according to the bakery schedule. Install/Repair Allen Bradley Powerflex VFD’s, Hitachi VFD’s, and Allen Bradley PLC’s. Monitor assigned line and troubleshoot bakery equipment, conveyors, lifts, switches, electric eyes, rails, grids motors, etc. and notify the appropriate company personnel as required. Prepare plans to correct the problem, consulting with co-workers or the supervisor when necessary. Replace, Repair, Adjust and Modify electrical, mechanical or hydraulic, pneumatic equipment as needed. Perform basic welding and machining tasks, as well as, read blueprints, drawings and plans. Perform and assist with line set ups and changeovers as needed. Perform and assist others with the repair, maintenance, rebuilding and installation of equipment and machinery in the facility. Perform and assist with repairs, replacements, adjustments, modifications to equipment, machinery, wiring, piping etc. as directed. Identify parts and supplies required for repairs and maintain parts inventory as needed and inform the parts clerk. What we require: At least 5+ years combination experience within the following fields: Equipment and utility operations, maintenance repair, preventive maintenance, Electrical repairs or Facility maintenance. Industrial Electronics repair and troubleshooting. Industrial maintenance of conveying systems, ammonia systems, and power transmission. Must be able to work 2nd shift (1pm – 9:30pm). Strong electrical troublehsooting skills. Knowledge and experience with any CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System). Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form. Ability to work in cold temperature environments as low as -40 degrees. Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. What we prefer: Industrial maintenance, electrical and/or electronic training/experience.
