This position provides general new hire training and job-specific training to existing employees in the plant. This position is also responsible for standard work audits, Job Instruction training and audits and remedial training. This position serves to develop new hires and existing employees through training and is a contributing factor in retention through the on-boarding process.
Scheduled Time: Mon - Fri 2pm-10:45pm (OT Required)
Starting Pay: $25/hour
Key Duties $ Responsibilities:
- Train new team member in general training related to Milgard Company and Product Knowledge as well as Continuous Improvement tools
- Train existing team member on job specific processes and procedures
- Manage multiple improvement projects and ensure all projects are properly planned and tracked
- Motivate teams to drive change and achieve results
- Conduct Standard Work audits and provide corrective feedback to team members, leas and supervisors when required
- Manage and maintain in-house training lab and equipment
- Lead and Participate in Continuous Improvement activates as required
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience in custom manufacturing and warehouse processes
- General understanding of lean principles and tools
- Strong understanding of Continuous Improvement methods and techniques
- Project development and management experience a plus
- Ability to work independently when directed
