Position Summary |
Monmouth University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Educational Leadership in the School of Education. The position is open until filled and is for the 2024-25 school year.
Primary responsibility will be to define, strengthen, teach courses, and advise dissertations in the educational leadership program within the School of Education. Other responsibilities include: teaching and performing curriculum area leadership in the education leadership program; conducting and publishing research in refereed publications and disseminating findings to colleagues and doctoral candidates; supervising graduate students; providing service within the University and educational communities, including maintaining and improving program ties with educational leaders in New Jersey, Connecticut, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland school districts and schools; and, contributing to on-going accreditation efforts at the program and school levels.

Other Requirements |
- Earned doctorate in Educational Leadership or a related field or ABD status with evidence that degree will be completed before the beginning of the Fall 2024 semester.
- Successful public school and/or higher education leadership experience.
- Clear evidence of engagement with scholarship.
- Knowledge and use of technology and its administrative applications.
- Demonstrated published research in peer-reviewed publications.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Knowledge of the New Jersey educational system.
- Possess an administrative license as principal or superintendent.
- Demonstrated experience in supervising doctoral students and effectively teaching hybrid and online courses.
- Mastery of multicultural and social justice competencies in educational leadership.
- Experience conducting mixed-methods research.
