New Jersey’s academic health center, Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) takes an integrated approach to educating students, providing clinical care, and conducting research, all with the goal of improving human health. Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Physician Specialist for the department of Emergency Medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
This position will work in the Department of Emergency Medicine at our New Brunswick Campus. Responsibilities will include delivery of clinical services in the ED, teaching of medical students and residents rotating through the ED, and working with the Chair and Vice-Chair in the development of a residency training program.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Delivery of direct clinical care to work in the Department of Emergency Medicine.
- Works collaboratively with Departments and Divisions within the Medical School/University on collaborative research projects.
- Work on quality assurance programs involving emergency medicine services.
- Teaching/mentoring residents and medical students assigned to the Emergency Department.
- Work with clinic staff to improve patient services, charting, and clinic policies.
