Position Summary
The
Behavioral/
Developmental Pediatrics program provides
consultation and other professional services as part of the Valley Medical
Group and Valley-Mount Sinai Children’s Service line in northern New Jersey.
This provider would join 2 other experienced developmental pediatricians to
provide clinical expertise in early childhood development, behavioral and
psychosocial issues. In addition, this clinician provides consultation and
education for our clinicians, clients, interested community groups and helps
support our broader community based services for special need populations.
Clinical requirements include ability to obtain a comprehensive neurodevelopmental/neurobehavioral
history, including a pertinent medical history for pediatric patients, perform
a neurodevelopmental/neurobehavioral evaluation and support the Medical
Director of Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics and the Clinical Director of
the Kireker Center for Child Development (KCCD) in NJ. Providers in this role
will also participate in Department of Pediatrics activities, Center, and
Hospital Committee meetings as deemed appropriate by the Director. Physician in
this role will provide outreach to interested community groups, including
schools, childcare programs, parent groups, and other programs. The KCCD offers
a broad spectrum of services including speech, physical and occupation therapy.
A complete audiology service is also available on-site at the KCCD. In this
position you will be part of a larger multi-specialty group including
experienced providers in Endocrinology, Gastroenterology and Nutrition,
Pulmonary medicine, Food Allergy, Cardiology and PM&R, all in collaboration
with Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital and the Mount Sinai Health System.
Academic appointments at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital
are possible based on previous academic ranking and productivity.

Position requirement:
MD or DO
Board-certified or board eligible in developmental/behavioral pediatrics or neurodevelopmental disabilities
Maintains up-to-date credentials including CV, License, DEA, CDS, Board Certification, documentation of Hospital admitting privileges
Maintains CME credit hours as required for Board Certification and/or hospital staff privileges.
