**This position is at our Bayfront location, in San Francisco, CA.**
The Bayfront Medical Building is critical to support UCSF Health Operations and to serve a growing patient demand, including an increasing demand for outpatient surgery. The new five-story, 182,800-square-foot clinical building, will include an ambulatory surgery center, same-day care, adult primary and secondary multi-specialty clinics, and a pharmacy.
The OR Equipment Technician, under the direction of the Registered Nurse, will participate as an integral member of the patient care team. Performs multiple support functions directed toward improved efficiencies in the OR and positive patient care outcomes.

- Recent experience (within the last two years) working with microscopes, lasers, and robots
- Current AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers Certification
- One year experience as an Equipment Technician
- Recent experience (within the last two years) working with ophthalmology and OHNS service lines
- High School Diploma; or equivalent experience
- Ability to work independently with good organizational skills
- Ability to think critically and proactively to support the OR team
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task to support multiple surgeons and staff
- Ability to work in a fast-paced complex environment
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
- Must have manual dexterity to manipulate small equipment including, but not limited to, twisting bulbs, turning dials, changing batteries, and pushing buttons. Must be able to move in confined spaces. Must be able to repetitively lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
