We are seeking a Credit Risk Associate to conduct credit analysis of project finance transactions and support senior colleagues in their duties. MUFG’s project finance practice covers multiple verticals including power/renewable energy, oil and gas, infrastructure and Latin America.
The selected colleague will work in either MUFG’s New York or Los Angeles office four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.
Responsibilities:
- Identify emerging risks in assigned portfolio.
- Perform ongoing credit reviews of individual accounts through regular/ad-hoc credit review process and closely monitoring existing Problem Loans and Watch List accounts.
- Conduct site visits and attend bank/customer meetings.
- Coordinate and communicate critical account information independently and directly to various related parties throughout the bank, business line, product groups and credit divisions.
- Ensure compliance with external regulatory/internal policy and procedural requirements.
The right candidate will have:
- 5+ years of Project Finance or related credit experience.
- Knowledge of credit and risk principles and legal and compliance regulations pertinent to lending.
- Excellent communication, networking, and analytical skills.
- Strong Excel modeling skills.
- Proficiency in Word, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of accounting rules, finance, and regulation.
The typical base pay range for this role is between $140K - $160K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
