Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Senior Software Manager to join our team in Altadena, CA! This is a hybrid position. The Senior Software Manager will manage a small software and product analyst team and work directly with the customer and executive management to provide continuous improvements to all software management; will be responsible for the end-to-end management of Software Information within the ServiceNow platform. This includes the ability to be able to interpret complex licensing agreements of various types and to be able to translate the terms and conditions. Actively work to find agreeable terms and pricing to assist the customer and stakeholders. The scope includes the entire enterprise and processes necessary for the effective management and control of all software.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Manage all software license contract renewals, license compliance, reporting, documentation, and workflows within ServiceNow
Manage a portfolio of Software Application offerings on the customer’s IT Catalog
Work in collaboration with customer Key Stakeholders to improve and finalize the Software Governance process for the customer
Oversee the proposal and development interface and processes to be implemented within ServiceNow
Collaborate with developers/analysts to implement application usage models, as well as reclamation of licenses
Collaborate with developers/analysts to implement enterprise workflows for application requests
Ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders by building solid, trusted relationships and assist the customer in managing an ever-growing and evolving Software environment
Coordinate with the organization by planning, product ordering, tracking, and monitoring of all software products
Work with other IT department leads to reconcile software deployments to license and maintenance entitlements, and to ensure all accounting, billing, reconciliation, and compliance are met and followed for IT software assets
Work with developers/analysts to implement software reporting and dashboards to determine program costs for Software usage
Collaborate with business IT experts to ensure effective technology service delivery and to deliver high-quality service outcomes
Identify potential cost saving opportunities relating to software and support, by bidding and negotiating contract renewals with vendors
Lead the implementation of audit readiness processes to ensure we are managing license compliance risks
Oversee and assist in the documentation of all Software Management processes
Manage and support the complete SAMf and Software Application Lifecycle
Work to improve current SAM / SAMf workflows and technology
Work and collaborate with the ServiceNow development team to automate current manual tasks and workflows
Work in collaboration with customer Key Stakeholders to improve Software Governance, including interfacing SAM tools and processes within ServiceNow
Interface with the teams to provide continuous improvements in the Software Management of the Program
Develop enterprise workflows as required
Mitigate financial and/or legal risks associated to vendor compliance, identify potential cost saving opportunities relating to software and support, and help to improve our negotiating position with vendors
Lead the implementation of audit readiness processes to ensure we are managing license compliance risks
Oversee and assist in the documentation of all Software Management processes
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Management
5+ years of experience in IT software asset management
2+ years of Software experience with the ServiceNow SAM and/or SAMf module
Intermediate level of experience working with the ServiceNow Platform
Strong understanding of License Management, Vendor Management, and IT Financial Management
Knowledge of software lifecycle, allocations, product fulfillment, billing cycles and true ups are required
A track record of delivering on extended projects that span 6 months to 2 years
Act as the primary contact for software procurement and license management
Coordinate with technical and contractual experts outside of one’s reporting structure to deliver service
Respond and coordinate requests for quotes, purchases, and renewals of approved software
Manage relationships with suppliers and manufacturers on product updates and lifecycles
Must also understand and work within the guidelines of ITIL practices to deliver technology service and deliver continuous improvements
Work with technical teams to configure software related data points in ServiceNow and other tracking systems in order to maintain license compliance and accurate reporting
Provide reporting to upper management along with any data required for any types of audits
Uses problem solving and active listening skills to identify key details, motivation, and criticality of customer request
Ability to build trust and relationships with both internal/external partners, clients, and cross-functional teams
Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for the program
Experience with Enterprise Software Management
Experience managing software audits
Excellent interpersonal skills, including collaboration, communication, relationship building, and negotiation
Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and as part of team
Ability to maintain professionalism and work in a fast paced, results driven environment
Proficiency in Office applications
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
At least 7 years of experience in IT software asset management
At least 5 years of Software experience with the ServiceNow SAM and/or SAMf module
ITIL, PMP and plus
Knowledge of PeopleSoft a plus

The projected compensation range for this position is $126,100-$178,500. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
