Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is recruiting for Hospital Security Officers who ensure the safety of employees, patients, and visitors while securing hospital buildings and grounds. Hospital Security Officers are a critical part of ensuring the public has a positive experience, serving as frontline staff greeting and directing visitors. These positions provide exemplary customer service while proactively interacting with thousands of customers daily as part of a large staff responsible for performing crowd control, patrolling the interior and exterior of the facility, enforcing hospital policies, and responding to emergency situations. In addition, Security Technicians assist medical staff with observing, monitoring, escorting and physically restraining patients, transporting patients, retrieving gurneys for medical staff and escorting deceased patients to the morgue.

Located on a beautiful 70-acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state-of-the-art, public/nonprofit, 456-bed, university affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding in-patient behavioral health center. Additionally, ARMC operates five community-based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for the adjacently located California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM), the Inland Empire's newest medical school.

Shift Availability: ARMC is a 24 hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays. Not indicating availability to work all shifts on supplemental will result in removal from the recruitment process.
License: A valid California Class C driver license is required at time of appointment and just be maintained throughout employment. Employees are required to drive county vehicles.
Pre-Employment Process: Applicants selected for these positions must pass a background investigation, verification of employment history and education.
Work Environment: The work environment may involve exposure to assaultive and combative patients and visitors. Successful completion of Management of Assaultive Behavior (MAB) training within six (6) months of hire is required. The MAB certification must be maintained while employed.
Work Attire: Professional attire is recommended for all onsite interviews. Applicants selected for these positions are required to wear the designated ARMC uniform.

Registration: Must possess and maintain a current Guard Registration Card issued by the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services of California.

Availability: Must be available to work ALL SHIFTS: Day, Evening, Night, Weekend, Rotating, Swing, and Holidays.
