Harlem Children’s Zone (HCZ) — a world-renowned education and poverty-fighting organization based in New York — seeks an enthusiastic, dedicated, and mission-aligned Program Manager to join the Healthy Harlem Core Team.
The Program Manager will bring a passion for the mission of Harlem Children’s Zone: break the cycle of intergenerational poverty with comprehensive, on-the-ground programming that builds up opportunities for children and families to thrive in school, work, and life.
We are seeking a Program Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of Healthy Harlem Programming in our HCZ After-School Programs. This position is a part of the Healthy Harlem Core Team and will report directly to the Assistant Director of Healthy Harlem.

Minimum Qualifications
? Master's degree required. Advanced degree in Nutrition, Education, Public Health, Public Administration, or a related field preferred
? five or more years of management experience, preferably in health or education
? three or more years of experience working in early childhood
Who you are
? High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, SharePoint)
? Experience conducting research and analyzing data
? Experience working in various urban settings and with diverse populations
? Team-oriented with strong organizational and collaborative skills
? Knowledge of theory, principles, and methods for curriculum and training design
? Excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills to inspire patience, flexibility, creativity, and perseverance in others
? Must be available to work occasional evenings and weekends
? Interest and passion in health promotion and youth development
What you’ll do
? Oversee the development, implementation, and assessment/evaluation of healthy eating, and active living curricula for parenting and early childhood programs (parents and children ages 0-5 years)
? Review and update program materials to ensure information is age-appropriate, medically accurate, and responsive to participants' needs and interests.
? Facilitate training and provide capacity-building support to Health Coordinators and site staff
? Meet with program staff and conduct program observations to ensure effective program delivery
? Review participation data, performance dashboards, and quarterly report
? Share highlights, challenges, and strategies to improve programming
? Performs other duties as assigned
Schedule
? Monday through Thursday: 11 am—7 pm or 12 pm—8 pm
? Friday: 9 am—5 pm or 10 am—6 pm.
