Job Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, New York. Product manager for the Finance Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function within Goldman Sachs overseeing projects related to firmwide resource and cost allocations for budgeting and reporting purposes based upon Zero-Based Budgeting principles. Responsible for gathering requirements, developing goals, setting up milestones, organizing and prioritizing work for the team of engineers. Submitting the project deliverables to leadership, governing risk & quality standards of data and track cost-benefit of the program. Analyze data to identify trends and dependencies amongst variables, deliver executive reporting on program metrics such as divisional resource usage, system exceptions, people allocations completion rates etc. Prepare analytical reports for key summary statistics. Develop implementation plan and facilitate execution of feature launch for the software application, platform and technology upgrades. Review and present any plan changes with leadership for timely execution and best practices. Collaborate with functional/divisional leads to understand and evaluate process improvement, automation opportunities and transformation focus areas. Confer with stakeholders to identify issues and strategic solutions to resolve those problems. Establish and maintain change management framework to minimize disruption to existing processes and ensure controlled change adoption. Communicate future plans or upcoming changes to the customers and monitor smooth delivery. Connect with technical leads to streamline project implementation and adhere to risk assessment results. Systematically manage software development projects with consideration to technology used, opportunities and limitations. Work with colleagues to continuously develop re-usable intellectual capital and contribute relevant content to the team’s knowledge base. Prepare application training material, document guidelines on Confluence, create user guides and demos for product user community. Assign duties, responsibilities, and specific tasks to project personnel. Participate in development and team building activities. Mentor and guide junior members of the team.
Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include three (3) years with: working in a finance role at a multi-national financial services organization; working with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial processes; report generation and review with key stakeholders; working with global accounting standards and financial reconciliations; delegating and managing the completion of tasks across team members; and working with Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $101,600-$140,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
