Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develops and implements procedures for ensuring that adequate inventory levels are present.
· Identifies and optimizes common inventory items.
· Create locations for new items going into stock
· Comes up with ways to dispose of or sell obsolete items in the inventory.
· Trains other employees in cycle counting and inventory control.
· Provides inventory reports to purchasing and inventory control manager.
· Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
· Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
· Reporting to management and advising on process improvements.
· Help develop loss mitigation processes and protocols.
· Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
· Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
· Perform daily cycle counts and replenishment
· Works with other teams including warehouse staff, purchasing, and sales
· Operates forklift truck when necessary.
· Performs other warehouse/inventory related duties as requested.

Skills/Abilities:
Exhibits the ability to work well with others and maintain organization between cross-related departments.
· Possesses effective written and verbal communication skills; displays reading comprehension skills
· Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
· Proficient keyboarding skills.
· Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
· Proficient Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
· Ability to perform basic math calculations.
· Demonstrates the ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions and solve problems immediately
· Ability to work well under pressure
Education and Experience:
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· 3-5 years’ experience in inventory control
· Forklift operator certification preferred.
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Prolonged periods of standing, walking, climbing, and lifting material
.· Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at times.
· Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
