EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Supervises, coordinates specific functions and activities of PA as requested including computer systems, accounting, materials management, human resources, data processing, maintenance, support services, etc.
2. Assists the Administrator in developing and marketing new products, services and subsidiaries.
3. Assists in the selection, employment, development and management of employees. Responsible for clinic personnel policies and practices.
4. Assists senior management with negotiations of managed care contracts.
5. Coordinates with senior management on monitoring medical activities to ensure cost-effective and high-quality health care for patients.
6. Interacts with clinical and administrative staff to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
7. Monitors expenditures at the department level looking for cost containment opportunities by promoting efficient utilization of staff and services.
8. Recommends PA facility improvements including construction, renovation and purchase of equipment.
9. In cooperation with departmental leadership, manages all on-site activities in such a way that promotes the satisfaction and welfare of the patients visiting the site.
10. Establishes service recovery protocols; trains and empowers staff to address patient concerns; assures all patient issues are appropriately addressed.
11. Interprets PA and/or departmental policies, objectives and operational procedures to department heads. Resolves problems related to staffing, utilization of facilities, equipment and supplies.
12. Represents PA at public and professional meetings and conferences as requested. Facilitates communication and ensures proper flow of information. Participates in public relations programs.
13. Coordinates, as requested, committees of the board and clinic, and physician advisory committees.
14. Collects data, prepares reports, analyzes statistics, answers correspondence.
15. Serves as Acting Administrative Director in his/her absence. Handles special projects assigned by the Board and Administrative Director.
