Overview
The Distribution Warehouse Analyst will join the Califia team to support a dynamic and growing distribution network with warehouses in the US and Canada. This individual will serve as the critical link between logistics, demand and production planning, FP&A, quality, and third-party warehouse teams. We are in search of someone with a high-level of adaptability who can work both independently and collaboratively, excels at problem solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This person will need a constant sense of urgency to navigate through daily challenges and execute changes in an efficient manner while maintaining a drive for continuous improvement and strategic planning focused on future growth. This role will also be a key leader in building the monthly and annual warehouse budgeting process.
Responsibilities
Serve as liaison for all Califia departments and third-party warehouse providers to make sure we are supporting all business needs and delivering upon business requirements
Work collaboratively with the Quality team to ensure distributions centers are meeting Califia’s required food safety and quality requirements
Work with deployment, transportation, planning teams, and our third-party warehouse to maintain and ensure proper capacities/capabilities in storage, receiving, and shipping for present and future business
Maintain accurate inventory records and track storage costs
Weekly reconciliation (audit & approval) of the third-party warehouse invoices. Organize costs to assist in accrual, budget planning, and monthly logistics reconciliation process for warehouse network
Develop and track KPIs weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual analytics to assist in driving the accountability of third-party warehouse service providers in business reviews
Prepare month-end executive summary reports using accurate data-driven detail on warehouse cost performance
Work in third-party warehouse providers portals as well as Califia systems (including ERP, TMS, & Anaplan) to manage cost and drive improvement
Lead, as needed, projects/tasks costs for third-party warehouses to perform work production/quality issues; communicate to cross functional partner timing and dates; and hit target dates, as planned
Build visual models and reports in Excel and Microsoft Power BI to help identify trends and present variances between budget plan and actual handling
Qualifications
Required Skills and Abilities
Demonstrated understanding of warehousing and inventory management procedures in warehouses
Must be able to work across 3PL distribution center locations and companies, balancing the needs of Califia
Strong analytical skills
Must have advanced Excel skills including complex references and formula creation
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Proven capability to prioritize multiple projects in an ever-changing fast-moving environment
Excellent collaborator; interpersonal, communication and organizational skills; has a good mix of hard and soft skills
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; preferably in Business Management of Supply Chain/Logistics/Operations, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering or related analytical field
Minimum of 2-4 years' experience in Supply Chain
Experience working at a CPG company is preferred
Experience working in warehouse operations is preferred
The expected salary range for this position is between $85,000 - $95,000 per year based on a full-time schedule. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting the actual salary.
