Has in depth knowledge in all the functions of the Admitting Department. Must have excellent communication skills, including the ability to speak, read and write English proficiently. Must be comfortable with computers and medical terminology. In depth knowledge of all insurance types, including government health programs
Minimum Education:
High school graduate or equivalent evidence in file required
Minimum Experience/Knowledge:
Three years in a Hospital Admitting Department, Lead, Coordinator and/or Supervisory experience in ER Dept., Admitting, Business Office, Physician office or Healthcare equivalent.
Required License/Certification: AB 508 Certification. If no card upon hire, one must be obtained within 30 days of hire or transfer into the department, and maintained by renewal before expiration date
• Well-versed in emergency protocols and procedures. They must ensure that their team members are aware of the ER guidelines.
• Supervisor ER Registration staff and provide clear instructions to their team. Make timely decisions, prioritize actions, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal form.
• General knowledge of insurance payors: PPO, HMO , POS, EPO Medicare, Medi-Cal.
• Positive work ethic.

The hourly rate range for this position is $66,500 to $85,000.
