Job Overview:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for managing the success of the operational excellence department in a fast-paced and changing environment. This requires overseeing projects, or phases of larger projects, using a combination of agile and traditional methodologies. The senior project manager is also responsible for all aspects of the project over the entire project life-cycle. This includes coordinating the activities of the team by defining scope and project objectives, defining the role and function of each team member, managing day-to-day project activities, communicating project status, decisions, updates, and changes to all stakeholders, and facilitating data-driven decision-making and project progress.
The Senior Project Manager is tasked with gathering and tracking deliverables to ensure timelines, milestones, and goals are met, managing project priorities, deadlines and deliverables independently, and building and maintaining working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects. This role also plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the hospital meets all public reporting compliance criteria for Leapfrog, Vizient, CMS, and US News and World Report.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, engineering, information science, statistics, or related field
- 5+ years’ experience working in the project management and data analytics domains in the healthcare industry
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in information management, operations research, statistics, computer science, systems engineering or related field
Scheduling Requirements:
- Shift Working: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
- Day Shift
- Full Time
Essential Functions:
- Managing and developing staff members
- Developing programs, reports, dashboards and continuous improvement processes
- Utilizing the appropriate project management and advanced analytics techniques to shape the priority focus areas of the hospital will ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
