The Bilingual Family Connections Specialist on the team plays a vital role in addressing permanency and connectedness for youth and families within Marin County's Child Welfare and Juvenile Justice systems. You will collaborate with social workers and probation officers, guide families through the six stages of Family Finding, and offer support groups and case management for parents navigating the foster and adoption process.

Responsibilities
Understands and applies Family Finding principles and stages in collaboration with families
Establishes connections with youth, family, extended family, and natural supports regionally, utilizing in-person, phone, and video-conference interactions
Supports family members in the Resource Parent certification process
Organizes and leads up to 2 monthly support groups for pre- or post-adoptive parents
Collaborates with Marin's Juvenile Justice Department to coordinate and facilitate Child and Family Team Meetings
Attends site-specific supervisory and program meetings
Engages in regional training and consultation groups
Participates in the scheduled regional on-call crisis response line
Qualifications
Required:
Education/Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work/Psychology/Counseling + 2 years of experience OR
Associate’s degree or equivalent + 3 year of applicable experience OR
High School Diploma/GED + 4 years of applicable experience
Applicable experience can include paid or unpaid experience working with youth or families, or working in the social services field
Bilingual in Spanish
Flexibility to work some earlier mornings or evenings, scheduled ahead of time
Must be at least 21 years of age
Own vehicle, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policy
TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
Must show proof of COVID-19 vaccination
Preferred:
Positive client engagement and communication with parents whose children have been removed due to abuse or neglect

Benefits
Starting at $26.72 - $29.22 per hour, actual salary is dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role
