Applies skills as a seasoned clinical applications professional to projects of medium size at all levels of complexity, or portions of large projects. Provides technical support in the development, installation, and ongoing maintenance of clinical information systems used throughout the institution. Maintains an outstanding customer service-oriented relationship with each system owner. Maintains system/technical documentation, troubleshoots workstations and servers at an application level and facilitates open communication with IT / Clinical Systems and our departmental partners.

- Expertise with Visual Studio programming
- Knowledge in one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, Java
- Ability to identify, collect, and analyze information from multiple sources
- Good understanding of Citrix application publishing technology
- Understanding of Clinical Operations and ability to quickly assess, recommend and improve clinical workflows
- Some knowledge of EPIC infrastructure
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, or related area, or equivalent combination of experience/training
- Be available 24x7 for emergencies involving critical technical problems.
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Experience with PC workstations, including desktop operating systems. Expertise in gathering and documenting detailed business requirements
- Experience in business analysis for the implementation of new applications and system maintenance or enhancements
- Expertise in one or more of the following DBMS: Access, MSSQL, SQL, Oracle SQL, MySQL
- Knowledge in one or more of the following operating systems: UNIX / AIX, Windows Server, Linux, Mac
- Knowledge of HL7 interface protocols and networking, including TCP/IP, FTP, and client-server technologies.
- Knowledge of systems and functions, including planning, design, development, implementation, user support and training, maintenance, quality assurance, and system testing and evaluation.
- Strong problem-resolution skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose problems, and develop, test, and implement appropriate and effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively, train, support, and work collaboratively with users of clinical information systems at all professional and technical levels.
- Detail oriented, with proven organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and see projects through to completion on deadline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information and instructions to all levels of clinical application users in a specific, clear, and concise manner.
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge in documentation and reporting, with the ability to design and execute tests, analyze system performance data, and produce substantive reports and analyses.
- Ability to work with senior staff and managers, serving as a technical resource and providing advice and counsel on issues of functionality, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, policy, and performance.
- Professional experience in a technical setting, with information systems expertise including analytical and troubleshooting skills
