Peraton is seeking a Senior Network Engineer/Architect to perform as a consultant for leading edge information technologies and methodologies on Network Architecture team in the Annapolis Junction area. Our dynamic team provides full spectrum network connectivity including architecture, engineering, development, integration, deployment, configuration management, project management and network security services to the global enterprise, as well as systems and cloud engineering services for application modernization and transition of legacy applications into hybrid cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background coupled with network engineering/architecture background, as well as experience with network vendor products (i.e. Cisco, Palo Alto, Sonicwall, etc.).
The Senior Network Engineer/Architect will be responsible for but not limited to:
- Provide technical guidance concerning automated solutions to complex analysis and studies and prepares reports and presentations.
- Lead overall network operations to include design, engineering, testing, and implementation of LAN/WAN/CAN network systems and upgrades to the network.
- Maintain network infrastructure standards including network communication protocols such as TCP Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
- Provide technical input toward architecture discussions through technical and best practice consultation.
- Work with customer to determine requirements and timelines for implementation of network packages for future needs.
- Participate in integrated Product Team to design new capabilities and conduct analysis of reliability, maintainability, and vulnerability of networks.
- Perform fact-finding, analysis and development of hypothesis/conclusions, production of final recommendation reports and delivery of presentations.
- Complete assigned projects and major phases of large projects and provides technical and specialized guidance solutions to complex IT problems.
- Deliver project completion on time and to budget.
- Travel CONUS and OCONUS as required, in support of current or future activities based on customer needs.
Travel Requirements:
- CONUS/OCONUS travel at least twice (2x) annually.
