Job Description Summary |
The Budget Analyst for the Provost’s Office leads efforts to align the University’s resources with its mission and strategic priorities, working collaboratively with other to achieve these priorities. The Budget Analyst fosters an institutional culture in which budget-related data is accessible and used effectively and transparently to aid decision-making, resource allocation, and planning. With direct responsibility for the institution’s forecasting, and budget development, the Budget Analyst works closely with the Provost, Budget and Finance, Enrollment Management, university leaders, and academic deans to develop realistic and growth-oriented models for the University, its schools, college and multiple sites. The Budget Analyst partners with academic deans to develop effective budget models and align resource allocation for the University’s distributed campus organization. The Budget Analyst also provides oversight for the activities of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs. The Budget Analyst works with the Provost Team, deans, and AVP of Research and Sponsored Programs to cultivate a grant-seeking culture and leverage grants to support the Strategic Plan and school-level strategic priorities |
Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelors Degree
- 5 Years pf experience working in higher education
- 1 year of administrative support role for a high-level administrator
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to use tact and discretion, to maintain confidentiality, to interact diplomatically, and to maintain neutrality when working with a broad range of individuals
- Ability to organize and prioritize needs; exercise flexibility to meet planned and unplanned deadlines
- Ability to support and empathize with historically underrepresented populations

Preferred Qualifications |
- Business, marketing, and event planning experience
- Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance preferred

Salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equity.
