Purpose:
The Director of Human Resources and Recruiting will lead and mentor a team of human resources and recruiting professionals. Develop, plan, lead and direct all approved HR projects and policy for the company. The Director will be an active part of the Senior Leadership Team and will champion, inspire, and advise on employee related issues, company strategy, including building culture and aligning the employees’ work with the organization’s mission, values, and policies. The Director oversees the complete employee life cycle, recruiting, onboarding, manage benefits administration & enrollment, compensation analysis, training, employee relations, leave management, record retention, and serves as the plan administrator for all HR software management tools.

Essential Job Functions:
Complete the following functions in accordance with Managed Resources policies:
- Oversee the successful operation of the HR Department and Recruiting teams.
- Align HR goals and objectives with company’s mission and values.
- Serve as a strategic partner with executive leaders to influence and guide the development and deployment of strategies, programs, policies, and procedures to identify impact of trends, root causes, and potential solutions to HR issues.
- Develop appropriate HR analytics and metrics to drive workforce effectiveness and HR efficiency.
- Enhance a culture that cultivates people, enhances learning and development, inspires the employees, and the company becomes an employer of choice.
- Transition strategic HR initiatives and goals into key HR projects, oversee assignments and workflow of the department. Working with the HR team, assess and support delivery of key projects, measure and report results. Provide development, mentoring and coaching for HR team growth.
- Provide analytical and effective human resources problem-solving, with a strong strategic orientation; deal effectively with both macro “big picture” issues, as well as detailed tactical activity involved in developing appropriate programs.
- Oversee human resource activities including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; employee relations and investigations; performance and talent management; Company strategy, productivity, recognition, and morale; and training and development.
- Partner with the leadership team to understand and execute the facility’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, talent review and succession planning.
- Oversee full cycle talent acquisition to include sourcing, job postings, resume screening, interview coordination, extending offers of employment and completing necessary paperwork.
- Develop and implement targeted recruitment strategies to ensure a robust and diverse applicant pool for all openings.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues; Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations; continually communicates and enforces HR policy.
- Act as a trusted advisor and build relationships with the leadership team and managers; provide support on all people-related issues & conflict management; Provide guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning.
- Build and deliver scalable learning and development programs to facilitate team growth and drive employee motivation and performance; deliver solutions for leadership development including coaching, feedback, and performance management.
- Conduct research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or people management system.
- Develop and implement departmental budget.
- Monitor and ensure the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommend best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Ideal candidate will possess the following:
- 8+ years of human resource management experience is required.
- Experience leading HR and Recruiting teams.
- Mentoring team members for ongoing development and growth
- Successfully lead HR and Recruiting initiatives for fast growing, small to medium organizations
- Can demonstrate and explain how their implementation of HR metrics and programs successfully aligned with strategic deliverables.
- Thorough and up to date knowledge of National employment-related laws and regulations.
- Identified and implemented HR software solutions for improved performance and metrics.
- Oversees strategic vendor relationships as assigned.
- Proven ability to resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Engage executive and senior leaders for improved goal setting and outcomes.
- Able to influence all levels of the organization, prioritize tasks and delegate.
- Director level verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal and negotiation skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
- Effective time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
- Experience in recruiting and preferably overseeing a recruiting team.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience resolving complex employee relations issues
- SHRM Certification highly preferred
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Experience with Workforce Now ADP a plus.
- Medical and/or consulting agency preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required; master’s degree preferred.
