SUMMARY: The MRI Technologist Assistant assists technologists and office staff in maintaining the smooth patient flow by greeting and escorting patients and assisting with the processing of films and other records. This is a regular full-time position, Friday- Monday. Four days a week, with 10-hour shift. Additionally, this position requires the ability to work cross campuses located in Concord, CA and Walnut Creek, CA.
ESSENTAIL DUTIES:
· Interviews and verbally screens patients using safety equipment as designated by the department.
· Thoroughly reviews paperwork and questionnaires and ensures consents are completed and signed.
· Escorts patients to and from dressing and examination rooms and assists transferring patient to table if needed.
· Assists radiologists and technologists during examination by setting up coils, patient monitoring equipment and other ancillary medical equipment as needed.
· Maintains dressing and examination rooms by stocking supplies, removing linen, changing protective covers, and ensuring overall cleanliness of the department throughout each shift.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & EXPERIENCE:
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; and six months related experience and/or training in a radiology setting preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Working knowledge of medical office procedures and medical terminology preferred.
· Basic computer/keyboard skills.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
· Excellent customer service skills.
· Attention to detail.
· Ability to work as part of a team.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.

Compensation is based on the level and requirements of the role.

Typically, new team members join at the minimum to mid salary range.
