Working Conditions:
- Physical: Ability to exert strength when aiding in setting power poles and guy wires. Lifting heavy objects (minimum seventy-five pounds). Using wrists, hands, and fingers for repeated and intricate motions. Frequently standing, bending, and stooping often and for prolonged periods. Working for prolonged periods with arms overhead. Hauling tools and equipment up to and/or in excess of fifty pounds up and down ladders and stairs.
- Environmental: Working with high voltage equipment such as rotating machinery, circuit breakers, and power distribution systems. Working around both electric and mechanical safety hazards. Occasional exposure to fumes and odors. May be designated as an essential position during emergency closures. May be required to remain on campus overnight during weather or other emergencies.
