Job Summary
The Morgan Hill Unified School District, located south of San Jose, serves approximately 8200 students with 850 certificated and classified employees across 14 school sites. Nestled across three cities—Morgan Hill, San Martin, and South San Jose—MHUSD has 6 elementary schools (TK-5), two K-8 schools, two middle schools (6-8), two comprehensive high schools (9-12), one continuation high school, and one adult education program.
The District is looking to hire an experienced, dynamic, creative, and collaborative human resources administrator to lead the Human Resources Department.

Requirements / Qualifications
As evidenced in our goals, key in the District’s efforts for positive student outcomes for all students, are the strong partnerships within the school community comprised of dozens of local community-based organizations including the City of Morgan Hill, parent organizations (Home & School Club, School Site Councils, English Learner Advisory Councils, District Advisory Committees, Booster Clubs, among others), Chamber of Commerce, Morgan Hill Rotary, South Valley Youth Task Force, Healthier Kids Foundation, Edward Boss Prado Foundation, Boys & Girls Club, and many others.
MHUSD is searching for a dynamic and talented leader who believes in the district’s mission, vision, and goals to be our next Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, This leader must be someone who is ready to play an essential role in supporting each and every student’s success every day. This leader must also be a strong collaborator, communicator, and skilled problem solver who can engage in, pivot, and adapt to continuous learning within a shifting system and labor market.
Salary for this position is $238,868 - $260,371
Essential requirements:
* Master’s Degree
* Valid California Administrative Services Credential
* Experience in Administration of public education, personnel practices and procedures and employee relations
* Both site-level and district-level administrative experience
* Successful teaching experience
* Valid Driver’s License
Highly desirable qualifications:
* Doctorate degree
* Experience with Personnel Commission/Merit System
* Completion of ACSA Personnel Academy, SEAC’s Negotiators Certification Program or other applicable training
* Successful experience in human resources administration in a K-12 education institution
* Bilingual Ability (English/Spanish)
