St. Dominic Savio School, a distinguished Salesian school, is dedicated to nurturing students in a positive and inclusive environment that fosters spiritual growth and holistic development. We are seeking an experienced, innovative, and enthusiastic 1st grade teacher to join our dedicated team.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about creating a nurturing classroom environment, committed to the values and teachings of the Catholic faith, and eager to engage with colleagues collaboratively. Responsibilities include developing weekly lesson plans, grading assessments, monitoring student progress, and providing timely feedback to students and parents.
Requirements
This position demands an educator who is skilled in differentiation, can clearly articulate and hold high expectations for all, and classroom management is impeccable. The qualified candidate should possess the following:
- Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university/college in Elementary Education
- California Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential and/or Master’s Degree or currently working towards a CA Credential
- 3-5 years of teaching experience
- Skilled in differentiation and classroom management
- Comfortable and familiar with integrating technology into the classroom
- Integrates technology assessment tools (Freckle, STAR, Google Suite, and AR) to provide quality support and instruction for students
- Commitment to the values and mission of Catholic education

Wage Range
The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
