GHD has an immediate opportunity available for a Market and Technical Lead. This position can be based in most GHD office locations in the US. GHD supports a hybrid work model.
The Market and Technical Lead will be responsible for growing GHD’s market presence across North America relating to our Future Communities strategy. This will involve identifying opportunities and major pursuits and supporting our clients as they seek to address their ESG goals through urban planning and leveraging GHD’s unique value propositions. As the Market and Technical Lead you will also be tasked with building the GHD brand in market via thought leadership, industry events (conferences, forums etc) and client engagement.
In this diverse role you will:
- Facilitate the integration of GHD’s Future Communities capability, theory and practice into multi-disciplinary projects, working closely with Project Managers and Technical Leads
- Develop and enhance client relationships, as well as bid-leader relationships for strategic pursuits and proposals.
- Drive and continue to grow the capability of our technical people to deliver with clients.
- Task-manage and be accountable with Project Managers, Project Directors, Design Leads and Team Members as required.
- Grow a strong pipeline of projects that adopt GHD’s Future Communities value propositions through the understanding of North American clients and their ecosystem.
- Tailor GHD’s value propositions to client context with testing across a range of markets, project types and scale.
- Have responsibility for creating growth opportunities within North America.
What will you bring to the team?
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience within the field of stakeholder engagement, urban planning, urban design, or other social science related discipline.
- Tertiary qualifications in Urban Planning, Human Geography, Social Science, Urban Design or similar related discipline.
- Extensive experience in delivering projects and an established industry and client network.
- Ability to develop business opportunities through establishing trusted client relationships and winning repeat work.
- High level client relationship management skills including experience in business development activities leading to positive outcomes and tangible outcomes.
- Leadership experience within a consulting environment and with experience in managing a portfolio of work, strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with senior leaders.
- Active member of relevant professional associations or industry bodies is desired, but not mandatory
- A known profile in relevant industries through presentations, thought leadership pieces and an online presence.
The salary range for this position ranges from $142-$213K depending on experience and location.
