The Work
*Responsible for ensuring that aircraft that have undergone maintenance, repair & alteration conform to the approved /accepted technical data and are in a condition for safe operation.
*Performs the inspection of aircraft for functional operation and conformance to FAA, government and company standards and specifications.
*Inspects the installation and operation of electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, oil, and emergency systems and other parts and equipment of aircraft. *Performs pre-flight and post-flight inspections in accordance with standard procedure on flight-proven aircraft.
*Inspects Critical Characteristics (CC) in accordance with the Sikorsky Flight Safety Parts Program.
*Performs receiving inspection of all material for compliance prior to installation on the aircraft. Releases aircraft for flight operations.
*Inspects any adjustments, repairs, or modifications made on the aircraft.
*Performs internal audits to monitor and verify quality in accordance with approved company processes, procedures and approved/accepted technical data.
*Additionally, provide Quality inspection support to the Sikorsky FAA Repair Station and the North Haven Facility as required.
*Overtime and frequent domestic & international travel is a requirement. - Must work well in a team environment
- AS9100 QMS Internal Auditor experience
- Experience in leading Root Cause Analysis - Corrective Actions efforts
- Experience in writing processes and procedures
- Training and experience with Sikorsky Models S61, SH-3H, S76, S92, UH-60A/L/M, S70i, S70M
- Strong working knowledge of FAA regulations 14 CFR parts 21, 43, 65, & 145.
- FAA 145 Repair Station Experience
- Component Overhaul & Repair experience
- Strong Computer Skills
- Certified Sikorsky Flight Safety Parts Inspector *Requires extensive knowledge in specialized functions. A wide and comprehensive acquaintance with, and understanding of, both general and specific aspects and the technical phases of the job and their practical application to complex problems and situations ordinarily encountered.
*Specialized training in specific aspects of job functions and/or demonstrated ability to perform assigned tasks. *FAA Airframe & Powerplant License with 6 - 10 years of experience on Sikorsky rotary wing aircraft or other large multi-engine helicopters is required of which 3- 5 years must be as a Quality Inspector.
*Must be familiar and comfortable working around live aircraft.
*Must meet minimum requirements relative to holding a Sikorsky Flight Safety Certification.
